Associate Roseann E. Chatfield November 14, 1946—April 23 2024, Accepted March 17, 2005

Associate and former Mount Carmel Employee Roseann E. Chatfield passed away on April 23, 2024, at Harmony Dubuque.

 Roseann was born on Nov. 14, 1946 in Dubuque, Iowa. She attended elementary school at the Cathedral and high school at the Visitation Academy in Dubuque. She worked at John Deere Dubuque Works for 30 years and after her retirement she worked at Mount Carmel for 17 years.

 On March 17, 2005 Roseann was welcomed as a BVM associate. In her application Roseann wrote, “The BVM core values help me follow Christ’s call to service all the day to day activity in my life . . . Freedom is the gift that permits us to become who we are called to be. As we let go of things we become free to do God’s work.” Roseann was companied by Cleonica Meier, BVM and Donard Collins, BVM.

 Roseann is survived by her husband David, sons Dan of Milwaukee, Shawn of Prairie Du Chien, and Ryan Chatfield of Dubuque, close friend Chris Hall, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

 A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the St Raphael Cathedral with Fr. Dennis Quint officiating. Roseann’s remains are buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque.
