The Letter: A Message for Our Earth

The documentary, “The Letter: A Message for Our Earth” had its premiere Oct. 4, at the Vatican. In two days, it was viewed more than 776,000 times.

The 80-minute film is “a clarion cry to people everywhere. Wake up. Get serious. Meet. Act together. Act now.”  It follows 5 characters representing themes from Laudato Si’ — youth, Indigenous leaders, people who are poor, and wildlife—as they interact with one another and with Pope Francis. We also learn their individual compelling stories.

“The Letter: A Message for Our Earth” is available on YouTube. Share this link with your family, friends, parishes, and organizations. You may host a public screening (virtually or in-person) by signing up here. After registration, (in a week or so) you will receive a free downloadable version of the film as well as resources such as study guides and curriculum for schools.
